The Trainers

My name is Catherine, I am a fully qualified Kennel Club approved Judge for working Trials, Obedience, and Good Citizens, Bronze Silver and Gold
I am one of the Good Citizen Scheme trainers, but I also occasionally take Obedience, and Working Trials Classes.
I have had dogs all my life and owned and trained my dogs for over 40 years, I have competed in obedience with many successes, and competed up to the top stake in Working Trials with three German Shepherds.
Currently I am starting in the lower stakes with my young Border Collie Dice.
I have always enjoyed doing the Good Citizens with my own dogs and I have attained the Gold Level in the Good Citizen Scheme with 12 different dogs over the years.

Sue High – Obedience Trainer – Wakefield Dog Training Club (Official)

I have been involved with dogs/collies for most of my life. I had my first border collie was when I was five years old. I have trained my own collies from 1982 and competed in Obedience with all of them, when I became hooked on competition in 1982. I have competed with 7 collies in Obedience and worked three of them in the highest Open Obedience Level which is Class C. I have also competed in Working Trials and qualified two of them at the first level which is Cdex. I enjoy both disciplines.

I have been a member of Wakefield DTC for many, many years where I learned a lot about training my dogs. I eventually became a trainer myself at Wakefield, mostly for Obedience, but have also taken classes for the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme which I enjoy.

I am qualified to judge obedience at Kennel Club

Shows. I am also a qualified Good Citizens judge. I enjoy training my own dog and other people and their dogs, which I hope gives back to a sport that has given me years of pleasure and good friends.

Hi my name is Karen I am an instructor at the club.

A bit about myself I have had dogs all my life mixed breed /Gsd /working sheep dog border collie .

I myself have been at the club for 25 years plus, helping people with their dogs .

I have competed in obedience/working trials/breed showing/and rally i have judge in obedience & helped in working trials also i am a judge in rally plus the kennel club good citizens/puppy bronze silver gold i have passed all the kcgcds with my own dogs plus got to level 5 in rally with my dogs. I am an instructor for the K C G CD S . That’s Bronze Silver Gold and Platinum. I also run the fun dog show in Horbury Car Lodge Park.
